We all have moments of inspiration. I’m tired of being tired so starting tomorrow I’m going to do this and this and not do that or that. It can be really exciting to think of all the great actions you’re going to take towards a new goal. Sadly, that inspiration can fade pretty quickly as we are faced with the effort that it takes to continue forward.
Last Friday I mentioned that I need to make a few changes to my lifestyle and here I am with my first update!
The excitement of change is still here!
This weekend I started and ended each day with at least 10 minutes of stretching/yoga. It is amazing what that does for my mind and body. I’m more flexible and in much less pain when I stretch. I highly recommend it!
Food is one of the biggest culprits in the recession of my “beach body”. Let me clarify - the recession of my I exercise twice a week and have a salad for lunch to I don’t do any physical activity and I had three cookies for my third breakfast. It’s surprising what a difference that will make over a pretty short period of time.
Yes, food. Too much junk food for me so this weekend I tried to focus on healing, healthy foods.
My newest favorite morning breakfast is chia pudding. Stop grimacing! It’s good! You have to give it a try.
Don’t Make A ‘Yuck’ Face - Chia Pudding Recipe
Directions: mix together yogurt, almond milk, chia seeds, and hemp seeds. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Let sit while you slice fruit. Once you can see the chia seeds have started to expand, add your fruit to the top of the bowl. Cover with honey and a small sprinkle of bee pollen. Time to dig in. Now you can decide if a ‘yuck’ face was really necessary.
In the picture above you may notice my Dandelion Root tea. Since I have noticed my skin issues, a cloudy mind, and a poorly stomach I get the hint that my liver and kidneys need a bit of TLC. Dandelion Root is very beneficial for the support of many functions of the body. Most notably, the support of the liver and kidneys by aiding in their function of processing and removing waste and toxins in the body. An overload of toxins and waste in the body will manifest itself in many ways. Skin issues are often a good indicator of a polluted body.
Very long story short - I’m on track! I have another recipe for you but it will wait until tomorrow!
Were you inspired to make some changes? Have you taken any action towards that change? If not, what is holding you back?
