It has been a lovely summer! I've enjoyed the many adventures and splurging on treats here and there. Annoyingly, I now realize that my indulgences may have been a bit unbalanced.
Most of my clothing is fitting a bit tighter. I don't sleep well. My skin is giving me hassle after hassle. And I keep getting sickly.
Today I slowly scrolled through some of my favorite blogs and found a slew of new recipes I want to try. No surprise, they are all beautifully healthy recipes. We all know where this is going.
It's time to start making better decisions healthwise.
I am currently riddled with a backache, headache, ear ache, sinus pressure, and a sad stomach.
It is the perfect time for a fresh start.
What to do.
This doesn't have to be hard. My first tactic is to eliminate the food items I know are causing me issue. Sugar is the number one culprit. Highly processed grains are next. Animal meat will be reduced to bone broth only. This may sound strict but I think I can do this for a full 10 days. This should allow my system to recuperate and recharge.
As I type this out I'm getting a bit of a cringey feeling. I've never been a fan of the "cleanse" scenario. However, I believe it can be necessary and in my case it is. We all need a refresh once in awhile.
I will be updating the blog with the highs and lows of this process. Maybe I'll even share a few of my favorite recipes!
