I stopped in Sephora the other day while on the hunt for a Benefit eyebrow pencil. The lovely make-up assistant lady confirmed the color I needed was indeed the light and not the medium. Another reason to love Sephora, having the option to ask an expert. The lady also generously gave me a new Benefit product to test out. Not yet released products! Amazing!
Introducing Benefit Roller Lash mascara!
I turned off auto-play on the little slide show above. I was tired of watching my eyes suddenly pop onto the screen over and over. It’s terrifying if you’re not expecting it. I was using natural light so in the time it took me to apply the mascara the sun had shifted and I had much nicer, warm light. Oh well, it certainly adds to the beautification that the simple application of mascara can provide.
I am very picky about my mascara. I also have sensitive eyes so there are a few products that I can’t use just because they are so irritating!
Roller Lash was a pleasant surprise but not what I was expecting. I thought it would be a light coating that slightly lifted the eyelashes while gently curling the ends. It does lift and curl but the coat is not light. The application is heavy but smooth. It’s easy to coat the lashes from roots to tips in one sweep.
The only challenge I had was if I added one to many sweeps in one spot the lashes would clump together and were nearly impossible to separate. The consistency of the product will change over time but with the fresh mini tube it is intense.
A definite pro to this product is there is no flaky residue that drops away over time. Sometimes the very thick mascaras become brittle during the day and you wind up with little bits of mascara sitting under your eyes. Not very flattering.
If you are looking for a mascara that provides a natural appearance and light feeling this is not the product for you.
If you are looking for a product that makes your eyes pop and at times feels like you’re wearing false eyelashes, Roller Lash is a must!
It’s easy to apply. Sticks around all day. Easily removes with coconut oil or make-up remover.
A lovely product to keep on hand for those days (or nights) when you need a little extra boost.
It is available February 27, 2015!
