The strangest thing happened. I was rewriting my little Twitter bio. My first bio was a bit lame. Maybe my new one is too but when I rewrote it there was a release that I felt inside. You could say a blossoming. What did I type? Dancer. Certified Health Coach.
It feels right. It feels true. It just makes sense. I am a Dancer. I am a Health Coach.
It is obvious to an outsider but for once I feel confident in the path I am pursuing.
Have you ever felt self-conscious telling someone what you do? If you’re like me you just don’t care enough about the job to try to make it sound like you’re interested in sharing about what consumes 70% of your time.
Well, this is not the case when I tell someone what I do as a Health Coach or that I am getting more and more involved in dance. It clicks inside.
It is my goal to serve and support others and if I can do that while also pursuing dance that is the dream.
I believe it is a good sign when an old friend realizes I’m dancing again and expresses their excitement and happiness that I am doing what they know I love.
This post was meant to be a Dance Update. It became a bit more than that.
I am still taking classes at the little studio in my neighborhood. I love it. My teacher, Gwen, is truly amazing. She is incredibly talented and knows just what to say to get you to be able to balance or extend a little further. My pirouettes are still struggling. They have always been my biggest challenge. That is the beautiful thing about dance. There is always something that will challenge you.
If you live in the South Denver area or Littleton or anywhere near lightrail, I highly recommend The Academy of Kim Robards Dance Evans Station Lofts Studio. The enrollment is low at the moment but I have offered my help to build awareness of the new space.
If you are at all interested please connect with me via email, twitter, FB, or leave a comment! I’m happy to tell you about my experience! If you are new to dance or have young kids that you think would enjoy it I am happy to talk to you about that too!
Are you pursuing your passion? Why or why not? What is your passion? I want to hear about it!
