I'm a city dweller. I love being close to lovely restaurants. I prefer a ten minute drive to the grocery store. Sometimes though, it is nice to escape into the wilderness.
When you are completely isolated you're faced with all your fears and worries. There is no opportunity to numb the mind with your typical distractions. I think this is necessary at times.
What I found, whilst I sat by the fire staring into the cloudy sky, was a jumble of thoughts that I've been keeping under wraps - all fighting for attention.
As time ticked on I slowly separated them out. This was connected to that. That was a result of something else. I didn't find all the answers but I did find perspective. When I can look at my fears and worries with a new perspective I find peace.
I believe peace is the answer we are always searching for.
