I have been absent from the blogging world but I have many lovely excuses. The most relevant would be that I travelled around Turkey for two weeks. Inspiring and amazing. If you want a true break from technology, travel out of the country, pretend you don’t know how to find wifi, and don’t sign up for an international data plan for your phone. It really works.
Now I’m back with a few fun things to bring up.
What’s new and good? If you’re a client of mine you have been asked that exact question. If you become a client expect to be asked. For me, at this moment, the new and good is so, so exciting! I have successfully completed over half of my program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Whoopie you may say - but this is exciting because I just received my official “has completed sufficient course requirements to work with clients professionally” certificate.
I imagine most of my peers will not write a blog post about receiving their mid-certificate. Their very valid reasons may be:
- it lets the 3 people that read your blog know that you’re a newbie
- it doesn’t look professional
- it’s a frontdoor brag (the opposite of a subtle backdoor brag)
And all of those are likely true but then again I’m not afraid to let on that this is a new venture for me; I like being able to share my excitement about things, and once in awhile you just have to acknowledge your accomplishments! So there! That is what is new and good!
I should just leave this post as is but there are two other things I have to bring up.
First, I love autumn because it means cozy sweaters, soup, gorgeous warm leaf colors against cool skies, and that sudden burst of energy to get things done.
That crisp air is rejuvenating and inspiring. There have been a few projects sitting off to the side because I’ve thought I didn’t have time for them but suddenly I feel like I have twice the amount of time. October is going to be a productive month!
Last of all I found some awesome workouts in an unlikely place. Hulu has always been my go to site for keeping up with any shows I may be interested in but it turns out they have some decent workout videos.
I needed a change of pace and Hulu delivered! Exercise TV.
I do not understand how exercise instructors can be so excited all the time. I understand teaching with enthusiasm but these instructors maintain a level of excitement that I truly only have when standing in line to go see a movie like Star Trek Into Darkness.
That is beside the point. I highly recommend ExerciseTV on Hulu in between catching up with your favorite shows.
It’s nice to be back. I’m looking forward to becoming a more regular blogger and I have a couple fun things coming up that I won’t tell you about because I like to leave my audience with a touch of suspense. I can tell you...nope. Nothing, I can tell you nothing! I am really over-hyping this.
Until next time, leave me a comment about what’s new and good in your life!
