I'm going to just say it - it's easier said than done.
Being a home owner, cat mom, office worker, and everything in between leaves very little time for hobbies.
But no, I have not given up. I have been dancing, even it is not as much as I would like.
My first session was hard. Let me clarify - mentally it was incredibly hard. Ballet takes discipline and it was so hard for me to stop and focus and develop useful routines that were more than just pliés over and over. After 45 minutes of barre and some center work my brain felt like mush. My muscles could have continued but for some reason my brain stopped remembering any of my previous dance experience.
My next couple sessions were not as challenging because I relied on my New York City Ballet DVDs. They are very basic but excellent for me to focus on technique instead of trying to remember the routine I just created.
I'm going to continue using the DVDs and at least once a week I'll force my brain to create a full class for myself from scratch.

I am really interested in trying out a few of the Ballet Beautiful DVDs. Mary Helen Bowers, creator of Ballet Beautiful, is a lovely dancer and I would assume her products are excellent!
Anyone have experience with Ballet Beautiful?
The next week and half is going to be absolutely insane. But expect to see a new post about my new favorite way to pack!
And by pack I mean pack for a trip not packing to move to a new home. I feel I have done that enough in the past few years. No more moving!
Stop by next week for the number one (#1) most essential packing tip you'll ever need. I'm serious!
Until then, eat your veggies, breath deeply, and dance your heart out.
