This post is to demonstrate that I do in fact practice what I preach...or post..or share...or tweet.
Recently I shared this article that highlighted the benefits of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). It is a great article and there is a lot more in it than just information about HIIT.
For a time I was pretty consistent with keeping HIIT in my workout schedule but then I started focusing more on yoga and dance. I’ve enjoyed my quiet yet intense yoga sessions but I believe it is time to amp up the intensity and really work on building a different kind of endurance and strength.
There are HIIT session outlines all over the place so you can and should create a routine that works those spots you want to strengthen and tone.
I’m going to share mine so you can get an idea of how simple it can be.
This is a relatively short routine - most are at least 10 segments - but since I’m not really in the best condition for this type of exercise I decided a little less was better to start with.
Let me know if you try out this routine! I want to know how it works for you! If you have a favorite sequence be sure to share it in the comments!
Don't forget to schedule in your HIIT 2x a week! It's not tough to find 20 minutes twice a week so just do it!
